This 2008 SL550 is a super nice car. This car was purchased for my personal vehicle and not originally to resale however we seldom drive it and it's such a nice car I hate to see it just sit. I have owned it for 2 years and purchased it locally from a friend but I know all of the previous owners for at least the last 10-12 years of the cars life. It has been exceptionally well taken care of and always garage kept. Since I have owned it the car has never ever seen rain and is only driven on nice days, mostly in the summer. It's basically been a fun run around type vehicle and not a daily driver. From looking at the overall condition of the vehicle you would assume it was a 30,000-50,000 mile car. I'm still amazed at how well all of the previous owners have taken care of it. The paint is in very very good condition with very few small inclusions such as tiny bug/rock blemishes. The entire car was recently professionally buffed and clay barred so the paint is slick. It has the 18" AMG wheels and practically new Continental Z rated tires that all have at least 80-85% tread remaining. It has a 5.5L V-8 engine with a whopping 382 factory horsepower so it will get up and go. Both the front and rear batteries have been recently replaced and kept on a trickle charge when not driven. The neatest thing about the car is the convertible retractable hardtop. Those European engineers sure knew what they're doing when designing the top! When the top is up it doesn't look like a convertible and it has no road noise at all. The head liner is just like a sedan, and with the push of a button, the top folds up like a Transformer into the trunk. It's pretty fascinating to watch it collapse and disappear into the trunk. Even with the top down there's still a decent amount of space left for storage. Obviously the top has a solid back glass with defrost. There is also a retractable roll bar that you can put up for safety or a change in looks. Even the hard top hinges and hardware that you normally don't see while driving, are clean and in great shape (see pics). The door bottoms and door jams are clean, it's clean under the hood and around the engine, and even the spare tire are is clean. The interior is in great shape. The seats are not worn and there are no "thin" or weathered places. A lot of convertibles will get caught in the rain with the top down or get really sun faded but not the case here. The interior is fairly light in color however it looks great and basically shows no wear and tear. It has 2 WeatherTech floor mats in the front so the carpet has been protected. Since the car sits so low it actually has button that will raise and lower the car 2" to prevent scrubbing the nose on uneven roads or a parking lot. Though not a 4 Seater they utilized the area behind the seats for storage and there are 2 compartments, one of which the CD changer is in. You really have to see this car in person to appreciate it. I still have the original window sticker, factory owners manual, and 2 key fobs. The MSRP on this car back in 2008 was nearly $100,000 so I can't imagine how much they are now. If you're looking for a really nice yet inexpensive Mercedes that still turns heads 14 years later, this car might be the one for you! ***A PROCESSING OF $49.95 WILL BE ADDED TO THE FINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF VEHICLE*** 2020 READERS CHOICE AWARDS WINNER BEST OF BRISTOL BEST USED INDEPENDENT DEALER, KB MOTORS INC
